Details: OBJECTIVES:  The purpose of this position is to manage a professional, leadership and business skill development curriculum, for the entire field sales force at the representative, specialist, and sales trainer levels. Also, this position will ensure that manager-level initiatives are selectively carried through to the target field populations.  This individual would be responsible for the design, development and implementation of all representative development resources and learning solutions, including instructor-led courses, independent study educational materials, and online learning designed to impact the retention and personal/professional development of the sales force and Sales Trainers., including coaching tools and support materials for managers designed to promote training transfer and on-the-job application of learning.  This individual would also be responsible for the design, development and implementation of New Trainer On-Boarding Curriculum and all ongoing professional development for Product Trainers within the Sales Training Department.   ACCOUNTABILITIES:  Designs, develops and implements curricula that supports the ongoing professional development of representatives, specialists, and product trainers within the sale organization. Collaborates with executive leadership and Sales Management to strategically plan future training programs that meet the needs of the Sales Force and are consistent with department and organizational goals. Designs, develops, and coaches district managers on the use of appropriate tools and resources that facilitate training transfer and the application of learning in the workplace.  Advises sales leaders at all levels on appropriate ways to develop and retain representatives and specialists. Evaluates current and future training initiatives against corporate and industry trends and best practices, providing appropriate insight and direction.  Directs the design, development and implementation of the courses that supports all aspects of the New Trainer On-Boarding Curriculum for new sales trainers and ongoing professional development consistent with the Trainer Career Path. Facilitates classroom training and meetings for managers, representatives, specialists and other key business stakeholders. Orchestrates the coordination, preparation and contract negotiation process with external consultants and service providers to ensure achievement of contractual agreements and training/development needs. Manages individual vendors to build and coordinate the efforts of different vendor teams to ensure alignment of program objectives. Routinely performs needs analysis to ensure development courses and learning solutions exceed the organizational needs. Maintains a high level of development trends and market intelligence with regard to representative continuing education and development concepts, training strategies and best practice training methods. Efficiently manages the representative continuing education and development budget within the operating guidelines.
